Heart of Gold
Bridge House care home in Abingdon, part of Carebase, a group of care homes specializing in nursing, residential and dementia care in the South East and East Anglia, presented its Head Housekeeper with a Heart of Gold Award on 20 November 2014.
Linda Clack has been working at Bridge House since it opened in 2013 and received many nominations for the award.
The Heart of Gold Awards, which were launched by Carebase in 2009 seek to thank and recognize employees for their dedication and commitment in providing high quality care and compassion to all the home’s residents. Employees can be nominated by residents, relatives, co-workers and social workers and anyone who works in the home care be nominated. Linda will now be the Bridge House Heart of Gold Ambassador and will inspire her colleagues to promote the highest levels of care and commitment to the residents and the home. Over 44% of nominations received at Bridge House were from residents or their families wishing to recognize those who deliver outstanding care in the home.
Linda was presented with an etched glass plaque to commemorate her success and also received a Tiffany necklace.
June Maharaj, Bridge House Care Home Manager, says: “All of our team have a heart of gold and perform an exceptional job improving the lives of all the residents. Linda is a fantastic and dedicated Head Housekeeper and fully deserves this recognition. We send her our heartfelt congratulations and thanks for everything she brings to Bridge House.”
