Beauty and the Beast at Oxford Playhouse

Christmas is right around the corner and for any theatre lover that means it’s panto-season!
Is this that Christmas treat you’ve been looking for? Oh yes it is

In Oxford, the Playhouse is continuing its trend of creating hilarious, high quality, Christmas fun. Featuring a supremely talented cast of actors, all ready to bring this enchanting tale to life with song, dance and slapstick silliness.

Directed by Peter Duncan (of Blue Peter and, more recently, Tumble fame) for the ninth year running, he’s got pantomime magic down to a fine art. In last year’s Robin Hood he brought us tightrope walking, puppetry, and a working water feature, and this year there’s yet more delightful stage surprises to wow the whole family.

It’s the first time that Beauty and the Beast has been on the Oxford Playhouse stage and it’s sure to be a phenomenally fun family show, infused with OP’s signature style that looks stunning, sounds gorgeous and will leave you aching with laughter. This uniquely imaginative spin on a beloved tale is perfect for all ages; a great outing for families, friends or colleagues.

Is this that Christmas treat you’ve been looking for? Oh yes it is.

Beauty and the Beast is at Oxford Playhouse from Friday 5 December 2014 to Sunday 18 January 2015.
