Boomtown Fair

UK’s craziest and most ambitious independent festival returns to Matterley Estate, Winchester 11-16 August
A seriously silly party with incomparable décor, atmosphere and attention to detail

Building on and expanding their vision once again, Boomtown Fair will now accommodate 49,999 revellers without compromising any of the festival’s world-famous stage design, curation or attention to detail.

If you’re a seasoned Boomtown veteran than prepare to have your expectations shattered once again as the festival site spreads across eight districts within the three areas of the festival, HillTop, DownTown and Temple Valley.

If you’ve never experienced Boomtown before then prepare yourself for a head-spinning assault on the senses ranging from the swanky electro-swing excesses of Mayfair Avenue, through gypsy punk and Balkan beats in Oldtown, to the dark, industrial alleyways of DSTRKT 5.

If that doesn’t sound tempting enough by itself, we haven’t even mentioned the line-up yet

Few festivals can match the variety and sheer expanse of headliners that Boomtown Fair boasts across 22 main stages.

Are you a reggae fan? Then you won’t want to miss the all-star lineup at the Lion’s Den, including none other than Stephen Marley, Barrington Levy and Black Uhuru.

Is ska more your thing? Then catch Less Than Jake, Streetlight Manifesto and Dub Pistols behind Chinatown’s opulent frontages.

Folk fans are not forgotten about, with John Butler Trio, Peatbog Faeries and Kim Churchill all making appearances.

How about garage and grime? You’re looked after as well, with the sizeable Circo Baile venue playing home to DJ EZ, The Bug & Flowdan, Preditah and a Swamp 81 showcase amongst countless other DJs and live sets.

No matter what your taste in music, Boomtown’s ludicrous display of entertainers, mini-venues, art vehicles and general “things to do” is completely unmatched by any other UK festival, and the catering is also second-to-none.

If you like your festival experience with a few more home comforts, a wristband for the BoomTique Village gives you access to luxury showers, a wood-fi red sauna, hot tubs, chill-out lounge and a cocktail bar.

If you like the sound of a seriously silly party with incomparable décor, atmosphere and attention to detail, and with none of the branding, restrictions and corporate tie-ins that come with most summer festivals, Boomtown Fair is exactly what you’re looking for and much more.

Tickets are still available from boomtownfair.co.uk and are £155 for an adult residency pass.
