David Cameron opens tea room at local nursing home
The new Freeland House Tea Room offers clients, families and the local community a chance to relax in tranquil surroundings whilst indulging in home made cakes and treats.
Frances Payne, the Home Manager said “We were all delighted to welcome David Cameron to Freeland House and officially open the Lavender Tea Rooms, which can be enjoyed by clients, families and the local community alike”
Mr Cameron, who was visiting the home in his role as the local MP, and was presented with a collage hand made by the clients said “It was a pleasure to visit Freeland House. The staff and residents made me feel most welcome and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing first-hand the special activities and high quality care, which all contribute to the big smiles on everyone’s faces.”
The Lavender Tea Room is open Monday to Sunday 10am-4pm, and is open to all.
