Alpha Plus Guardians was set up 20 years ago at King’s School, Ely in Cambridgeshire to provide guardianship for international students who had come to the UK to study. Over the years, Alpha Plus Guardians has flourished and we now care for and support international students at independent boarding schools throughout the south of England.
We are always looking for special people who are interesting in acting as a host family and can provide a comfortable guest room for the twice termly long weekends when the schools close and they cannot fly home. Our host families come in all shapes and sizes from single mothers to young professionals and retired couples. The most important requirement is that our host families can offer a safe and caring environment and show a genuine interest in contributing to the student’s experience of life in the UK.
