Dragonfly Framing Ltd. and Bicester Art Network are bringing together an amazing collection of local artists to exhibit their work during Oxfordshire Artweeks 2024. There are several art exhibitions popping up in Bicester and the surrounding area that promise to surprise and delight visitors.

Dragonfly Framing and Chloe Brown Art will be hosting 5 artists at their studios in Bicester, headlining Chloe Brown a multi-disciplinary contemporary artist with her stunning horses and butterflies, and Graham Perryman with his wildlife photography. They will be joined by Oxford Art Society portrait artist Polly Pincott OAS, watercolourist and oil painter Maria Arrivillaga and the talented young artist Sophie Stocker who observes nature in pencil and charcoal. The exhibition explores the natural world and portraits with beautiful studies from the world around us.

Bicester Art Network bring together 20 artists to showcase their work in the stunning surrounds of the Baron’s Hall at Weston Manor Hotel, Weston on the Green, with pottery, jewelry, paintings and drawings in multiple different media including oils and acrylics, pen and ink, pencil, pastel and reduction Lino printing to mention a few. We are also raising money for Bicester Autism as our chosen charity this year, with a raffle during the exhibition and a paint a postcard auction Thanks to our sponsors Weston Manor Hotel, Tescos, Bicester Vets, Lakeland and Bicester Village.

Founding director Graham Perryman of Dragonfly Framing, Bicester Art Network and an Oxfordshire Artweeks coordinator, observed “Every year I look forward to working with Oxfordshire Artweeks to rouse local talent to celebrate their creativity. It is definitely my annual highlight, as I know it is for the many artists, as we get the opportunity share our art in our community.

Bicester Art Network has been responsible for over 15 art exhibitions in the Bicester area over the past 5 years and I am so proud of the artists and their journey that we have endeavoured to support, it’s so great to see our local talent grow and flourish. We are very much looking forward to welcoming our guests again during this years’ Oxfordshire Artweeks”

Both exhibitions run from Saturday 4th May until Saturday 11th May, Mon – Sat 10am till 5pm & Sun 10am till 4pm. Free entry to both exhibitions, no booking required.
