On Friday September 17th, the black-tie event, ICON, took place at the glorious Landmark Hotel London. The event was a truly memorable occasion marking the end of lockdown and a chance to unwind and enjoy the fruits of life once more whilst giving thanks for the great work, and sacrifice, that the NHS has undertaken.
As such, this was a charity event in aid of NHS Charities Together (Registered Charity No. 1186569) and WellChild (registered charity no. 289600 & SC045010).
The star guest was Grace Jones, who performed her classic hits to the rapturous crowd. Grace was also presented with the Music Icon Award at the event. Other guests at the Landmark London included, Rod Stewart, Penny Lancaster, Joanne Frogatt, Dame Emma Thompson, Greg Wise, Jamie Winstone and many more.
The ICON Gala was hosted by charity campaigner and popular culture expert Nick Ede. Coinciding with London Fashion Week, the Gala also attracted fashion press, and guests were presented with a runway show featuring collections from some of fashion brightest stars; Kimmiu, Malan Breton, Maurice Whittingham and Patrick McDowell.
