Fun in the Park and Bun Throw Poster 2

Visit the Abbey Grounds in Abingdon on the 7th of May to enjoy a day of fun and activities for children as Abingdon celebrates the King’s coronation.

From 10am to 3pm there will be entertainments to enjoy as we build up to the big Bun Throwing in the Market Place at 4pm.

Free entry - 10:00 am - 4:30 pm

Bun throwing is one of several ancient traditions of Abingdon-on-Thames. The town council organises bun throwings, usually as a gesture of loyalty and goodwill to the monarch and is mainly associated with royal events.
