Cory Band: World-Class Brass

Music at Oxford


Cory Band has held the number one spot in the official brass band world rankings for 15 years uninterrupted, and this concert will be a celebration of this ongoing achievement by the Welsh ensemble.

In the grand venue of Oxford Town Hall, Cory performs a programme of major works for band including Saints Triumphant by Philip Wilby, as well as highlights from its recent concert repertoire.

Director-choreographer Arthur Pita reunites with dance virtuoso Edward Watson and composer-musician extraordinaire Frank Moon, this time welcoming the renowned rebel chanteuse Meow Meow for a new adaptation and world premiere of Franz Kafka’s A Hunger Artist at the Old Fire Station, Oxford.  The show has a limited run from 3 to 5 June.
