Currently Craving: Hada Labo

“All of that and change from a fiver? What’s not to love?”
Hada Labo idqbxq

I’m a bit embarrassed that Hada Labo haven’t frequented the pages of this magazine as much as they deserve. After all, they are Japan’s No 1 skincare brand, and their products are so reasonably priced.

Take the sheet mask, which is exactly what I’ll be doing if I’m whisked off on the 14th for a romantic dinner a deux – tbh, even if it’s a pint at the local I’d like to make an occasion of it. Back to the matter in hand, in terms of convenience a sheet mask is pretty hard to beat. Hado Labo’s Anti-Aging Facial Sheet Mask sits on the skin for 15 minutes, after which any excess liquid is simply to be massaged onto the face. It’s saturated with their ‘Super Hyaluronic Acid’ (“a powerhouse blend” with improved penetration and longevity) and shots of retinol and collagen for moisturised, firmer, hydrated skin. All of that and change from a fiver? What’s not to love?

When your brain is grappling with vows, table-plans and floral arrangements, planning your pre-wedding skincare schedule can feel quite overwhelming. There are so many choices, all promising results but will they deliver in a single one hour-long treatment? I went to Dr Joney De Souza’s clinic in Blandford Street, London W1 to try the Brazilian Zero Downtime Facial.

National Smile Month starts on 13 May and it’s ironic, but usually a trip to the dentist isn’t too much to smile about. I guess it depends on the dentist, though. I went down to London’s Wimpole Street to meet Dr Tom Crawford Clarke of Luceo Dental to find out more about teeth whitening.
