Laduree bfqv93

Named in honour of Empress Eugenie, French patissiere Ladurée’s latest creation is perhaps the most glamorous confection I’ve ever seen.

Consider the flavours; chocolate, pistachio, blackcurrant violet, tea, vanilla, rose, orange blossom and caramel – how incredibly delightful. Each embossed chocolate shell hides a soft caramel filling and is finished at the base with a disc of shortbread.

Each consists of just a mouthful, the biscuit is gluten-free, and as we all know, the key to a healthy life is everything in moderation, right?
