Corn Exchange Newbury and The Base, Greenham have a fantastic programme of events for families to enjoy this Easter.

On the stage, Dinosaur World Live, will be at the Corn Exchange for an interactive, entertaining and mind-expanding Jurassic adventure. Perfect for children aged 3 and over, audiences will get the chance to meet a host of impressive creatures, including a Tyrannosaurus Rex, from Tuesday 12 to Thursday 14 April for 6 fun-filled performances.

Also taking to the stage is the Corn Exchange's Infant and Junior Youth Theatre, who will be performing a stage adaptation of Charlotte’s Web, a poignant, humorous story of a pig, a spider and a little girl. The Youth Theatre will be performing from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 April, and it is the perfect way to end the Easter holidays and celebrate the young talent in Newbury.

The Corn Exchange is also running a fortnight of £5 Films in its cinema this Easter from Friday 8 to Thursday 21 April, where audiences can rediscover the joy of going to the cinema for just £5 a ticket. This is a great way to introduce children to the cinema, and see the smash-hit Sing 2 on the big screen, or for older viewers to see award winning films such as Belfast and West Side Story.

Over at The Base, the whole family can enjoy the Festival of Arts and Crafts, celebrating all things arts, craft, artisan food and drink with local makers and creators this Easter. From Saturday 9 to Monday 18 April there are two weekends of fantastic craft fairs surrounding The Base building, with food and drink from the likes of Crazydayz Doughnuts and The Gentleman Smoker.

Throughout the 10 day festival, local artists will be exhibiting in the Gallery, and visitors can get creative on a gigantic chalkboard doodle wall. The children’s Easter printing workshop on Sunday 10 April is a great way for children to explore their creativity and get into the Easter spirit, and is one of the many opportunities for visitors to have a go at the range of workshops from The Base’s vibrant programme of workshops and courses. With free entry to the fairs and free onsite parking, this is a perfect opportunity to discover and celebrate the wealth of artistic talent in the area.
