Known for its Regency charm, GCHQ, and status as one of the best places to live in the UK, Cheltenham is also fast becoming the food capital of the South West. This Festival Town is hosting the highly anticipated Cheltenham Food + Drink Week from 16-22 September, offering an unparalleled culinary experience that both locals and visitors won’t want to miss.

Carefully curated by Visit Cheltenham and Cheltenham BID, this annual event is now in its third year and continues to grow in popularity. Fran Inman, Chief Executive of Cheltenham BID, said: “We are excited to announce an incredible lineup for this year’s Food and Drink Week here in Cheltenham that offers something for everyone. This year's event promises to be a culinary extravaganza, showcasing the best of Cheltenham’s culinary talent and offering unforgettable dining experiences. This is a week that you don’t want to miss.”

Opening Cheltenham Food + Drink Week with a bang on Monday 16 September, An Evening with Cheltenham’s Culinary Stars at the Queens Hotel will include a glamorous drinks reception followed by an engaging panel discussion with celebrity chef, restauranteur, author, TV presenter and co-host of Channel 4’s popular Sunday Brunch, Simon Rimmer. The tickets for this event can be booked at: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/cheltenhambid/1300978

An epic wine pairing challenge between The Lumiere team versus The Grape Escape team will take place on Wednesday 18 September. Diners will enjoy an exclusive dinner whilst experiencing culinary genius colliding with oenological expertise. Diners may also opt for a five-course exclusive dinner hosted by Sef Steakhouse with a Macallan Brand Ambassador, to discover more about the different expressions of Macallan whiskeys, finishing with the Macallan 18-year-old sherry oak cask.

On 19 September, The Pub Quiz Crawl will take participants on a journey through the town’s top drinking venues, featuring interactive quizzes and unique beverages. For spice lovers, Cheltenham Chilli Fiesta on 21 September promises to be the hottest event of the year, featuring chilli-eating competitions, live music, and food-themed activities for all ages.

Throughout the week, Cheltenham’s top gastronomic destinations will host special events, including cocktail masterclasses at The Alchemist, gin, beer, and whiskey workshops at Brewhouse & Kitchen, and exclusive dinners at top venues like Nagomi, Sef Steakhouse, and Purslane Restaurant. Each event offers a unique opportunity to discover Cheltenham’s diverse culinary scene.

More special events for Cheltenham Food + Drink Week will be revealed soon. For the latest up-to-date information, keep an eye on, www.visitcheltenham.com/food-drink-week
