FRAMPTON COUNTRY FAIR

1 Tent peggers

From very modest beginnings back in 1986 the event has grown to become one of the biggest single day shows of its kind in the South West - offering not just a great day out but also showcasing the best of Britain’s countryside.

The event takes place on Sunday 11th September in the grounds of Frampton Court next to one of the picturesque lakes on the estate, making it a wonderfully attractive location.

Apart from the many displays and attractions which are featured across the 30 acre park, throughout the day there will be a non-stop programme of entertainment in the main ring.

These include a falconry display, dog agility demonstrations, inter-hunt relay, hound parade and some serious competition amongst the tent pegging teams who will be galloping across the park and aiming for 12 inch wooden stakes with their lances.
