Fresh: Art Fair 2024

divider

There’ll be a lot going on at Fresh: Art Fair this year. Now in its 7th edition at Cheltenham Racecourse, Fresh: promises new ideas and a host of new art.

There’ll be ten new exhibitors, new artists demonstrating their work and new workshops to try your hand. As well as two studios on the balcony we will have Robert Fogell sculpting all weekend in our outdoor Sculpture Park and Keziah Burt in the Foyer, working on one of her famous portrait sculptures which include commissions for Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles.

All day on Friday there will be a drop-in Workshop in the Foyer run by artist and former lecturer Martin Bowden who will guide all age groups in water-colour painting. And over the weekend the incomparable Doctor Fun aka Tracy Spiers PhD will run mixed-media workshops mainly for children.

And if your imagination needs a little more stimulation, we will be literally ‘bringing art to life’. On Saturday and Sunday we will have actors from Beyond Repair Entertainment body-painted as characters from a life-size painting by celebrated Cotswold artist PJ Crook MBE FRSA RWA. The painting, “Dancing on the Street”, was until recently hung in the New York apartment of Yoko Ono.

Come to the Private View on the Thursday evening for a glass or two of wine with our compliments. There’ll be a chance to have your portrait created by the amazing silhouette artist Alison Russell.

Fresh: Art Fair hosts 50 leading galleries showing nearly 5,000 original prints, paintings and sculptures by 500 UK and international artists. With all this plus licensed cafés and free parking, there’s no more enjoyable way to browse and buy art.

Fresh: Art Fair will be in the Centaur Building at Cheltenham Racecourse from 26th to 28th April 2024 with a Private View from 5.30pm Thursday 25th.
