Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park (Guiting Power, Gloucestershire) is getting ready to open its gates for a super Summer of Fun for families to enjoy from 18th July – 31st August. As well as a regular daily programme of activities, there will also be special one-off events, workshops and live entertainment throughout the summer months.

As always at Cotswold Farm Park, visitors can meet a selection of rare and native breed farm animals and get involved with feeding the new lamb and goat kid arrivals in daily bottle-feeding sessions (11.30am and 3.30pm until 31st August). Younger visitors can enjoy the well-equipped indoor and outdoor play areas, which includes a soft play section (perfect for little ones), large sand pits, bouncy pillows, swings, ride on tractors and quarry play, or enjoy a slower pace of play at the sensory garden.

To celebrate the start of Cotswold Farm Park’s Summer of Fun, visitors can meet the farm’s friendly resident donkeys and horses at the Donkey & Friends On The Farm Weekend (18th – 19th July, 9.30am – 5pm). Discover these charming creatures and find out more about what makes them so unique, and enjoy themed activities, including donkey rides. Donkey & Friends Day tickets cost £21.50 for adults, £18.95 for seniors, £17.95 for children and £14.95 for toddlers and includes entry into Cotswold Farm Park and the Flower Fields.

Also from 18th July, visitors to Cotswold Farm Park can admire the stunning Flower Fields bursting into bloom, which will be open daily from 12pm – 4pm throughout July and August (Flower Field only tickets cost £4.95, with under 3s free). Visitors can walk amongst thousands of colourful wildflowers and golden sunflowers and are welcome to bring their four-legged friends (although please note that dogs are not permitted inside Cotswold Farm Park due to the resident animals on site). Have a go at navigating around the sunflowers or book a special photography session to capture those precious summer memories. Visitors can even take a posy of wildflowers home with them to enjoy.

Each Wednesday from 18th July – 31st August, Cotswold Farm Park’s popular Sunflower Sessions return and include free access to the Flower Fields from 12pm, providing the perfect place to enjoy a sundowner, surrounded by flowers and the glorious Cotswold countryside. Local musicians will provide a soundtrack to the evening, while a series of local food trucks (including Wagyu Burger Truck and Sri-licious) serve up tasty dishes, alongside a fully stocked bar completing the ultimate Cotswolds summer evening.

Regular Summer of Fun daily activities (18th July – 31st August):

  • Mondays: visitors can get up close to spectacular birds of prey at the special Summer of Fun falconry demonstrations from 4pm (included in farm park ticket price). Afterwards, visitors can tuck into tasty Mexican-inspired dishes at The Ox Shed restaurant from 4.30pm – 8pm.
  • Tuesdays: visitors can have a go at juggling, spinning plates, silks and other circus skills in fun, beginner-friendly circus workshops from 3pm (included in farm park ticket price).
