This year, Nicholson’s Pub Collection celebrates 150 years of their iconic British pubs. They boast some of the most beautiful and ornate pubs across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Each pub serves a superb range of cask ales – including their own Nicholson’s Pale Ale brewed by St Austell Brewery in Cornwall.

Since founder William Nicholson opened the collection’s first pub in 1873, Nicholson’s have been the epitome of the Great British pub, with warm hospitality and quality food and drink.

Celebrations

Nicholson’s anniversary will see them hosting events up and down the country. With an eye on the next 150 years, the group also shares its focus on sustainability, renewable energy and reducing waste consumption.

Gin & Ale Trails

With 78 sites across the UK, Nicholson’s boast a unique collection of historic ale & gin trails to discover, from Edinburgh to Brighton. Venture across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland and visit each pub for the ultimate pub crawl. What’s more, by downloading the app and scanning the unique QR codes you can collect stamps at each stop which include discounts and free drinks. Download the app here.

Nicholson’s Gin Special Cocktail

To celebrate the birthday, the team has come up with a very special Gin Fizz Spritz, a decadent twist on a classic Collins. Raise a toast to 150 years of iconic British Pubs with Nicholson gin, muddled with a zesty lemonade syrup and mixed with sparkling Prosecco, a dash of soda water and a dried lemon slice.

World Gin Day (10thJune) 1000 G&T’s Giveaway

To mark this year’s World Gin Day, and as part of the collection’s 150th anniversary celebrations, Nicholson’s Pubs will be giving away 1,000 G&T’s for free on 10th June 2023.

Guests can get their hands on a classic G&T made with Sipsmith London Dry gin and Fever-Tree Premium Indian tonic – the perfect tipple to toast 150 years of Nicholson’s Pubs and celebrate World Gin Day. Enter “WORLDGINDAY” in the Nicholson’s Pubs app to get a free G&T.

Guests will need to download the Nicholson’s Pubs app, and enter the code “WORLDGINDAY”, a tile will then show in their wallet with a QR code (which is then scanned at the till to get the drink for free).

Voucher issues are limited to 1,000 so only 1,000 codes can be redeemed. So, redemption is on a first come, first serve (and use of QR) basis across all Nicholson’s sites (78 pubs). Once 1,000 people enter the code into their app, the promo code will no longer work.
