Take Me Away: 10 Ultimate Travel Beauty Buys

Everything you need for face, body and hair can be packed into one cute bag.

Do-it-all body bars sometimes lack the luxe feel. Rituals Body Bar is soap free and there is no plastic packaging. Not only will it keep hair and body clean but the shower will be filled with a glorious soft scent. Suitable for all skin types including sensitive.

Cécred has become this summer’s must-try hair care range which is no surprise as the brand was founded by Beyonce and adheres to the four pillars of health, strength, moisture and shine. It now comes in cute travel tubes so don’t be the ‘girl with the bad hair’ on the beach.

From £15

We never travel without a little pot of healing salve to tend to lips, cuticles, inflamed skin and dry patches. Green People’s One Balm will do all of this and can also be used as a cleanser. Massage in and wipe off excess with a damp cloth.

Kind to the planet and a treat to use, AKT’s deodorant balms have won multiple awards for their efficacy. They come in the most magnificent range of fragrances but for holidays it has to be Halcyon Summer.

Sun, sand, salt and a sybaritic lifestyle are what holidays are all about. Minimise the impact on your skin with regular moisture top-ups (starting after take-off). Packed with moisturisers and ceramides, it can be used over makeup.

SPF is a daily must, and we don’t recommend anything less than at least one full-size bottle per person travelling. However, this handbag sized reapplication mist is ideal for topping up post-coffee in the town square or aperitifs at the beach bar.

Holiday makeup is usually pretty minimal and needs to be lightweight. Merit’s Flush Balm is designed for cheeks and also works well on lips to give a wash of pigment, enriched with Vitamin E.

Add bronzing drops to your daily moisturiser or body lotion for a DIY gradual-tan. Used daily to mimic the effects of the sun while keeping skin protected with a hefty SPF.

Pack a liquid highlight for gleaming skin. Used on the face to cheat your own golden-hour and on limbs for all-over glow. Sculpted by Aimee has just dropped these super-blendable Liquid Lights in blush, highlight and bronzing shades and we’re obsessed with Opal.

Eyeko’s fabulous Lash Alert lift and curl mascara come in a travel-size squeezy tube…adds-to-cart.

And don’t forget a pretty bag to make your hotel/Airbnb bathroom a bit special. We love the Floribunda in Vintage Pink for its internal pockets and waterproof lining.

This year, she’s headed to Oxfordshire and Alex James’ Big Feastival for August bank holiday weekend.
