The Feathered Nest

divider

The Feathered Nest hosted internationally renowned artist John Lendis on a wet winter’s Wednesday; Despite the discouraging weather, we had a great and diverse turnout who came out to sample canapes from head chef Matt Weedon, sip sparkling Sussex wine from our proud sponsor Rathfinny, and get lost in the other-worldly realm of John’s canvas’; The Beast of Burford series is his latest work paying homage to the juxtaposition of wild beast against a backdrop of Cotswolds’ tamed perfection, a place “where we have colonised, tamed and dominated nature”.

John is now a resident of Idbury, neighbouring village to The Feathered Nest, having lived internationally for most of his career. His work is displayed at The Stratford Gallery as well as numerous international galleries.
