This 18th century, ivy-clad, Cotswold stone village coaching inn with restaurant and rooms exudes a relaxed, buzzy vibe and was taken over in February 2024 by highly experienced operator, Tom Downing.

Tom recently appointed new general manager, Robert Wilks, and head chef, Luciano Juganaru. This new team at Five Alls is instilling a renewed vigour at Five Alls with friendly, well-trained, knowledgeable staff, new menus and a revamp of its public spaces and nine guest rooms to further enhance this already charmingly restored building’s many original features and quirky interior details. Already established as a chic, boutique retreat welcoming families and visitors to the area whilst retaining its essential role as a welcoming village local, the Five Alls offers a bright, spacious bar, cosy snug with working inglenook fireplace and two, light airy dining spaces seat up to 100, with additional drinking and dining outside on its sunny terrace.

Behind its well-stocked bar, an excellent wine list and an extensive selection of local craft ales and guest beers. Chef Luciano’s well-considered, seasonally changing, à la carte and set menus reflect his experience gained in restaurants around the UK and Europe whilst championing the very best British suppliers with additional fresh and artisan produce sourced from within a 20-mile radius, including fresh fish from the nearby trout farm at Bibury. Vegetarian and vegan options are available on every menu and there’s also a bar snacks menu and a dedicated children’s menu too.

Upstairs, four luxurious bedrooms with a further five, cottage-style rooms edging the rear of the pub’s landscaped garden are reasonably priced and simply decorated in a calming neutral palette with luxurious touches such as crisp linen, duck down duvets and Bramley toiletries. The pub can happily accommodate families and dogs and offers off-road parking.

Ideally situated between historic Burford and Lechlade, Five Alls makes an ideal base from which to explore the Cotswolds with Cotswold Wildlife Park, Buscot Manor, Kelmscott Manor and the Thames path close by.
