Revving up your Car Curiosity.

Once upon a time there was... the Collection Mahy, unprecedented in transport diversity. Veteran, vintage and classic cars, movie stars, trucks, buses, chassis, miniatures, pedal cars, bicycles, bikes, steam machines, carriages... basically everything relating to road transport since 1895 is on show at Mahymobiles. Amongst the 300 vehicles on display lies a fascinating story or a special place in motoring history. Everything about this place exudes passion thanks to the family that started the collection.

Ghislain Mahy’s collection has two very unusual aspects. The collection is privately owned but, in March 1978, the Mahy family created a charitable foundation in order to prevent dispersion or compulsory sale following the death of a family member. Mahymobiles ambition is to share with everyone the passion for cars that drives the Mahy family. There is at least one example of every important aspect of automobile development. The Mahy collection is one of the largest in the world and includes more than nine hundred and fifty cars, sixty motorcycles, and collection of bicycles, children’s cars, some horse-drawn carriages and sleighs.

Mahymobiles shows automotive history from its modest beginnings at the end of the 19th century to the present day. At present, the museum offers visitors a 2.5 hour tour over an area of 6,000 m2 (6 rooms).
