Marwell zoo is home to hundreds of exotic and endangered animals all within a beautiful 140-acre park.

Take a stroll around the outdoor attraction and enjoy the fresh air while spotting animals such as Rothschild’s giraffe, Linne’s two-toed sloth, white rhinos, Amur tigers, Humboldt penguins, red pandas, clouded leopards, snow leopards and all three species of zebra (to name a few).

Leading the way in sustainability, Marwell realised a significant untapped energy resource in some of their 700 tonnes of animal waste (dung, bedding and left over hay) that could be used for renewable energy within the zoo. Did you know? Some of Marwell’s animal houses and Marwell Hall are powered by poo!

Marwell Wildlife is a conservation charity which owns and operates Marwell Zoo. The organisation has been given the royal seal of approval for their environmental commitments with a coveted award; The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development. By visiting you’ll be contributing towards their incredible projects to conserve species and habitats, both in Hampshire and around the world. By choosing to donate and Gift Aid your tickets when purchasing, you’ll be supporting the zoo even further!
