Dead of Night

Join The Mill at Sonning for a drink and food before a unique production shows you things you’ve never seen before...
The audience will walk around the theatre with the actors as the chilling tale unfolds around them...

They say every theatre has a ghost…

A group of touring actors have been contracted for a night’s work at The Mill at Sonning.

They arrive to find the theatre closed for renovations. Making the best of the situation, they set up to give one final performance in the bar.

The situation quickly starts to spin out of control as the actors realise that they’re in a frightening story of their own and must venture through the darkened theatre to confront their fears. The Mill at Sonning has a great history of creating great quality shows that can be enjoyed by everyone and Dead of Night will be no exception. The Mill has teamed up with Hotspur Theatre Company, an emerging theatre company from London, to bring you this ghost story with a difference – the audience will walk around the theatre with the actors as the chilling tale unfolds around them.

Paul Daniels

Dead of Night will include special effects and illusions created by the world renowned magician Paul Daniels, who will once again bring his special brand of magic to The Mill at Sonning stage after creating the spectacular and spooky effects for Scared to Death in 2012. Join us at The Mill at Sonning, if you dare, for this unique production which promises to show you things you’ve never seen before by taking you into the dark backstage areas of the theatre in an attempt to understand the frightening mysteries that happen in the Dead of Night. Dead of Night starts in the newly refurbished Waterwheel Bar where the audience will be able to enjoy a drink and food before the show starts. (Performance times vary, check with the box office) Tickets £20. Takes place 11 April-2 May.
