Backed by Hook Norton Brewery, “Paddock’s Pour” is set to gallop into The George at Brailes

The brewery is proud to announce the launch of its brand new seasonal cask ale, Paddock’s Pour (3.9%), with a special tasting event at The George at Brailes on Thursday 5th March 2026, from 6pm-7pm.

Beer lovers are invited to pop down and enjoy free samples of this festival favourite, meet the brewers, and hear the tall tales behind the beer.

This golden thoroughbred bursts from the gate with a bright citrus kick. Smooth malts keep it steady in the stride, while a refreshing finish sees it go down faster than a favourite in the final furlong. Easy-drinking yet full of character, whatever else you choose, rest assured you’ll be on for a winner with Paddock’s Pour.

Jess and the team at The George are thrilled to be hosting the launch. “We’re absolutely delighted to be welcoming Paddock’s Pour to The George,” says Jess. “We love working with Hook Norton Brewery, and we can’t wait to share this with everyone. It’s always special to host events like this — there’s such a great buzz in the pub, and it’s a wonderful chance for everyone to come together, try something new and celebrate great beer brewed just down the road.”

Ed Clarke, Lead Brewer and the latest of six generations of brewers at Hook Norton Brewery, is equally excited about the launch. “Paddock’s Pour is all about balance and easy drinking,” says Ed. “It’s a bright, characterful cask ale that nods to tradition while keeping a lively pace. Launching it at The George at Brailes feels like the perfect finishing post, excuse the racing puns!”

Why not turn your visit into a full night out and book a table? Expect pub classics done right, seasonal specials celebrating the very best of local produce, and a few cheeky surprises along the way. Nothing fancy — just good food made with love and served by people who genuinely care.

Paddock’s Pour will be appearing on the bar in March at the brewery and in Hook Norton pubs and free houses across Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire.
