The Alice

The Alice - Oxford’s all-day dining restaurant and bar situated at The Randolph Hotel by Graduate Hotels® - is celebrating Summer with an impressive line-up of exciting events.

Located in the centre of the historic city, The Alice offers contemporary twists on seasonal, local British dishes, as well as maintaining an inspiring selection of cocktails and homemade cordials which draw reference from Oxford’s rich history and beautiful surroundings. This summer they will be hosting a Sew & Sip Workshop as well as rum tastings with Rum The Show.

Rum The Show

On Thursday 4th and 25th August, The Alice is hosting a rum tasting experience with rum expert and rummelier® Dwight Jones. Taking place in The Alice’s whimsical private dining room, attendees can immerse themselves in the rich Caribbean culture by sampling four different yet equally delicious rums which are on offer at The Alice Bar, and a special highlight rum chosen by Dwight Jones whilst learning what it takes to create this wonderfully versatile spirit. Guests will taste; Plantation 3 Star Rum, Appleton Estate Signature, El Dorado 15YR, and Rom Zacapa 23YR Solera.

The class will end with the opportunity to build a bespoke rum cocktail together. The offering includes: sampling of five rums, making your own rum cocktail, unique tasting pairings including petit fours made in house from The Alice, and an Alice X Rum The show tasting card for making pallet notes.
