After enduring a two-hour journey in heavy holiday traffic, navigating some of the busiest roads around the M4/M5 interchange, I was relieved to find that the hotel was both easy to locate and perfectly positioned just a short distance from the main motorway routes. This made arriving stress-free and convenient — a real bonus after a long day of travel.
One of the first things I noticed was the ample parking available. The hotel offers a large car park with plenty of spaces, which immediately set a positive tone for the rest of my visit. There’s nothing worse than circling around looking for somewhere to park when you’re tired, but thankfully that wasn’t the case here.

The pool was clean, a comfortable temperature, and not overly crowded — great for unwinding. The fitness centre appeared well-equipped and modern, perfect for anyone wanting to keep up with their routine while away from home.
In the evening, I dined at the on-site restaurant, and despite it being quite busy (as expected on a weekend), the staff handled everything with efficiency and professionalism. After dinner, I returned to my room and had a restful, undisturbed night’s sleep. The room was quiet, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the blackout curtains ensured I wasn’t disturbed by early morning light. I woke feeling refreshed and ready for the day ahead.
Breakfast the following morning was another highlight. The hotel offers a buffet-style breakfast with a wide range of choices to suit all preferences — from a full English breakfast to lighter continental options, cereals, fruit, pancakes, and more. The food was fresh, well-stocked, and the breakfast area was clean and efficiently managed.
To summarise, my experience at The Holiday Inn, Filton Bristol was thoroughly enjoyable. Every aspect of the stay — from the warm welcome to the attention to detail in the rooms, the high standard of cleanliness, the excellent food, and the convenient location — made it clear that this hotel is both well-managed and customer-focused.
